Great Things Are Happening

Throughout my course on the Take Shape for Life Program, great things have been happening and I felt obligated to share with everyone. Not only have my roommate and I lost more weight that we had ever imagined losing, our success with the business model has been outstanding. Feedback from our clients is what keeps us going. The money is nice, however helping change other people's lives like mine was, is where the satisfaction lies.

To catch you up, I have reached the 170's which is getting very close to my goal weight of 170. Last time I weighed myself I was at 178 pounds! I have about 8 pounds to go until I begin my transition into the maintenance phase. To refresh your memory, I started at 199 lbs on September 25th, 2012. It is now October 29, and I have lost over 20 pounds. I still cannot believe it, nor can I put into words how much better my everyday life is; everything from self confidence to financial security.

I wish I could share my success with everyone and let them feel the same way I feel right now.

Please take the time to look at my website , browse the videos available, and see for yourself the results you too could have, or someone you may know that can benefit from this life changing program.

Week 4 - Take Shape For Life

It's been a few days since my last posting. Today starts week 4 for me on the Take Shape For Life fueled by Medifast Program. The world has been crazy around me. My day consists of providing for two children under three, working on a second bachelors degree, working 50 hours a week customizing semi trucks, freelance work building websites, and promoting my Take Shape For Life business. To say the least, I do not have much free time. The only free time I have is when I sleep, and I'd rather be doing tasks than sleeping. Anyways, the past couple of days have been great as far as the program goes.

Last night I received my order of food that I placed last Thursday. I have been so excited to get my new order of food, as I ordered a bunch of things I hoping that I'll like. When I placed the order, I figured out exactly how many boxes of each item I needed to last me a month. I am trying a new plan as far as what Medifast meals I am eating. Being that my schedule is busy and inconsistent, I have been having trouble with the Medifast meals that require mixing and heating, as sometimes I am not home to do that. This is how I got in trouble with my weight in the first place because I was always on the go so fast food was the easiest choice for me.

I have decided for this month to carry the following eating routine:

1st Meal: Medifast Bar
2nd Meal: Medifast Ready to go Shake
3rd Meal: Medifast Bites, or Pretzels
4th Meal: Medifast Ready to go Shake
5th Meal: Medifast Bar

This schedule makes it very easy for me to get all of my meals in, on time. It's been difficult, sometimes going more than 4 hours between meals which is not good for me. Having all my meals be ready to go shakes, bites, pretzels, or bars I can carry my meals with me everywhere I go. I will let you know how this month goes eating my meals this way, because it may be something that I recommend to my clients who have busy schedules and think it may be hard for them to get their meals in each day.

Oh and by the way, I weighed myself this morning, and weighed in at 182.5. Still hovering around the same weight, but still 17 pounds down from where I started, and I haven't felt better about myself in years.

If you feel like the Take Shape For Life program may be something you are interested in, or you know someone who may be interested in changing their life for the better forever, give me a call, or have them give me a call. Anytime.

Week 3 - Day 1 - Take Shape For Life

I wake up every morning feeling better than I did the day before. Today was no different. It is the morning of Week 3 - Day 2 of the Take Shape For Life Program, but I want to take a minute to share about yesterday. I think it'll be easier to reflect upon the day previous than try to write the same day and miss something. My Medifast eating schedule went as follows:

  • Fruit and Nut Bar
  • Banana Shake
  • Cheese Pizza Bites
  • Turkey Burger Patties and Salad
  • Mango Soft serve
  • Brownie
The really cool part of the whole program, besides getting healthy, is the convenience factor. Besides my Lean and Green meal, all my other meals throughout the day were simple and on the go, just how everyone likes it. That's why we buy fast food right? I chewed on a Fruit and Nut Bar in the car on my way to work, and two hours later enjoyed my favorite shake, a banana one. The key with the shakes is the colder the water, the better. Three hours later, while still at work, I popped open a bag of Cheese Pizza Bites. Now for being that they are, basically seasoned air crisps, I think they are pretty darn good and will definitely be ordering a couple boxes on my next order. My roommate traded me the Cheese Pizza Bites for a Banana Shake so I could taste them. Once I got home, I threw two, 4 oz precooked, turkey burger patties on the George Foreman and prepared a salad while they were cooking. I gave my salad a splash of Balsamic Vinaigrette, and sat down at the table with what looked like full plate of food. The Lean and Green meal is my favorite time of day. You can get very creative with the meals you choose to make, or you can just keep it simple. For the first week all I ate was grilled chicken breasts and a salad. Then I got bored. Any-who, after a couple hours I blended up a cup of Mango Soft serve, which honestly is not very appealing to me, but I need to get rid of it. Two hours later, as an evening snack, I warmed up the oven, and tossed in a Medifast Brownie and boy howdy was it delicious. They are one of my favorite Medifast "sweets" so I only eat they sparingly so I don't run out.

After Day 1 of Week Three, I weighed myself this morning, as I do every morning and keep a journal of my weight, I weighed in at 187.0.  A pound more than I weight the day before, but that is completely normal. Your weight will fluxuate from day to day by a pound or so, so don't let it discourage you. If it does, they weigh yourself only once a week, say on Mondays.

I will continue to share with you my journey through the Take Shape For Life program and give you tips, if you are just beginning, recipes I enjoy, if you can't think of anything to eat, and just plain ole stories of the day that I think might be funny, or interesting, or just plain random and I want to share them.

If you feel like the Take Shape For Life program may be something you are interested in, or you know someone who may be interested, give me a call, or have them give me a call. Anytime.

Take Shape For Life...A New Beginning With A Better Ending

My name is Ryan Keith and two weeks ago today I began the Take Shape For Life program and I have not felt better about myself in years. Before I get into it, I am just now creating this blog so you can follow my success, and hopefully you too can take a step forward in the direction for a better life. I am twenty-four years old and I reside in the mid-sized desert oasis of Las Cruces, New Mexico (just outside of El Paso, Texas). I have two children, Kaleb who will be three in January, and Kailynn who will turn two in December, a beautiful fiance Rhyanna, and we live in a gorgeous home with magnificent views of the Organ Mountains.Life is GREAT, but it has only gotten better since I was introduced to the life changing program, Take Shape For Life.

My entire life, weight has never been an issue for me. In fact, everyone always told me I was too skinny and needed to gain weight. Well I guess I took that "compliment" a little too seriously. I grew up in the Tacoma, Washington area and after I graduated high school I moved to El Paso for a little change in scenery and weather and to attend college in nearby Las Cruces. Sometime between leaving Tacoma and arriving in El Paso my body decided it did not want to be skinny anymore and I began a everlasting battle with my weight for the past five and a half years. Although I never became "clinically obese," I was severely overweight and following my family's history, it was nothing but downhill for me. I had been looking for a way out for years but never found something I could stick to. Raising two infants, working full time, and going to school full time left me no time to exercise, or to live healthy really. Then I was introduced to Take Shape For Life by a good friend of mine from Portland, Oregon.

I will be posting on here everyday to share my trials and tribulations of the program. However, since I am already two weeks into the program I want to briefly catch you up to where I am at now.

Week One

Week one was by far the hardest, yet most rewarding part of the program. Following the strict 5&1 Diet Plan is very challenging. The temptations you have to resist yourself against are uncountable. I never realized how good "bad food" smells until I couldn't have it anymore. Let me reiterate that last part, it's not that I "can't" have bad food, but rather I am "choosing" not to. Following the text that is recommended with your first order of food, "Dr. A's Habits of Health," he teaches you why we crave food the way we do, and how to go about eating a completely different way. Sticking strictly to the 5 Medifast Meals per day and one "Lean and Green" I went from 199lbs the first morning to 192lbs one week later. 7 lbs in one week. By the end of the first week, I was already in the fat burning stage, my energy levels were through the roof and I haven't looked back since.

Week Two

Week two was much easier than week one. I figured out which Medifast meals I liked and which ones I thought were garbage. As I began putting together my second order, I made note of my tastes and set up my furture order to include only the foods I liked. The Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal in the mornings for breakfast was my favorite, while I also thoroughly enjoyed the Sloppy Joe for lunches. By the end of the second week I jumped on the scale at 186lbs, another 6lbs. I am determined now, more than ever, to get back down to my goal weight of 165lbs and I believe it will happen sooner than I had ever imagined.

Anytime.
